MicroBond 87

ABRI MicroBond 87 is a dual-use protective solution that is equally effective on traditional non-ferrous substrates, such as concrete, brick, and stucco, as it is on modern materials, such as fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP).

MicroBond 87 extends the life of your assets by protecting the underlying substrate from deterioration or further loss of structure through exposure to many naturally occurring elements.

MicroBond 87 is a dual-component, variable viscosity; ultra-low volatile organic compound surface applied protective coating. It consists of an extremely fine, inorganic powder and a unique, blended polyurethane dispersion-binding agent.

MicroBond 87 provides both applicators and asset owners with a flexible, easy, and cost-effective infrastructure maintenance and repair tool. MicroBond 87 is used as a stand-alone product or as a part of a more complex protection solution utilizing other ABRI advanced material coatings.

MicroBond 87 is also used to enhance the value of many existing FRP retrofit solutions. MicroBond 87 can be used as an:

  • Internal substrate surface preparation tool
  • External top coat for wet-layup and other FRP structural retrofit solutions

MicroBond 87 is waterborne, so it is environmentally friendly and cleans up quickly and easily. Just spray water on your equipment (mixers, airless sprayers, brushes and rollers) – and you’re ready for the next job. Once MicroBond 87 cures, it takes a long time for it to come off. Protection is assured for up to 5 years.
